The 8th Day Project is a genuinely, loving community who embrace the things that make us our true selves: stories and experiences, faith and doubts, joys and pain, hopes and fears. We share the Good News freely, wrestle with the mysteries of faith as we come to know it and strive to share God’s Word in a way that is relevant to our lives and unique experiences.
Faith does not require expression only in a physical church building nor only on Sunday mornings. Every day, people express their faith, beliefs and doubts at home, work and where they gather socially including virtual spaces. The 8th Day Project gathers and worships in, and strives to be, an active part of the community around us.
God is everywhere. We believe that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose for everyone and in every place. We declare that despite our collective brokenness, all of humanity are God’s beloved children. Judgement and selfishness tear us apart. Love binds us together.
Together as community, we work to follow Jesus Christ's own example of inclusion and love. The 8th Day Project is committed to being proudly and unconditionally affirming. People of all races, ages, abilities, backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations are invited into full participation and leadership. Authentic community is not about welcoming or acceptance. It’s about being an ally. It’s about sharing where we’ve been and walking forward together.
Our hope is that you ultimately experience The 8th Day Project as a profoundly safe space where you can openly express your faith and doubts, and experience comfort in being your true self. We see all of creation as having valuable stories and infinite worth which are gifts from God and meant for all the world. We are human. We fail. But we don’t give up on ourselves or on each other because we are convinced that God does not ever give up on humanity.
Come take a walk with us.
